We don't watch things dubbed except cartoons for under 10 year olds.
Everything else is with subtitles, and Brits or Americans make most of the TV-shows and movies we watch. Most popular music is in English. Videogames and programs/apps are rarely translated to our language, or the translation is not that great, and English is then the obvious choice.
Books aren't necessarily translated, so you have to read the original, or the English translation.
And certain specialized magazines and so on might exist in our language, but maybe there's only one option and it might be shit, and so the global English/French/German version is generally better. Same with online forums etc.
