Americans make 10k a month and pay 500 bucks for health insurance.
Yuropoors make 2k a month and die from waiting 5 years for their “single payer” surgery

>Europe has no equivalent to silicon Valley or the american tech industry
Because of third world wages and dumbass nanny state “antitrust” regulations that fuck over startup companies and protect boomer state affiliated corporations.
Big tech companies in the States were all startups back in the day. Spotify is the only yuropoor startup that made it but they’re basically an American company at this point

I wonder how people are able to afford these high rents
Don't tell me it's with their income. This wouldn't make any sense would it?

An one bedroom in SFO or NYC in a nice would run like 5k something (probably a bit less but just assume that). Even with food and bills for like 2k a month, they still have like 3k to spare on a typical 10k after taxes a month tech salary in those area.
A “very good” tech job in Paris area would pay 3k after taxes and rent is like 1k5 lmao

Did you know that Spotify pays its Software Engineers in Stockholm less than half of what they pay to software engineers in the USA?

Roommates. I work in Boston and a couple years ago I lived with roommates, that's what most young people do because rent is absolutely fucking expensive in that city. Realized that I hate living with others and decided to move to a city 40 minutes away from my job. It's a lot cheaper and I can my own place, plus I don't have to drive, I just take fe train because fuck driving in Boston.

not everyone works as a software developer

I do

Seriously bro we need to find a way to get the fuck out of here. I don’t want to live in poverty for the rest of my life
