Besides geo-political stuff, what actually happens here?

Besides geo-political stuff, what actually happens here?
It's a rather large country surface-wise, similar to ours, but you rarely hear anything about it .

They’re coming to Georgia as well. And it’s all these weird IT peepo

And wyte petite prostitutes

Are they any different from other East Slavs?

Nothing exciting

That happens in most of Eastern Europe, but I guess it's colder in Belarus too.

Soul. It's like a smaller nicer Russia. Since they didn't get to experience the full ravages of radical transition to capitalism also a fair bit more naive and idealistic.

>they didn't get to experience the full ravages of radical transition to capitalism a
How did that happen? Was it becasue Belarus received economic aid from Russia?

They arr rook same

No just their president stopped privatisation and now most of industry in the country is stare owned

this is true
>Belarus receives economic aid from Russia
this is also true

Because their government took a conservative protectionist stance during the dissolution of the USSR, preserving most of it's industry in proper order, no shock therapy and de-industrialisation. It's legitimacy rests squarely on not having the country ravaged by the same problems that Ukraine and Russia got hit by.

I don't know about this.
The common idea I heard is that Poland succeeded precisely becasue it had a shock therapy early after communism, we, and other like Ukraine, had it worse becasue we postponed ours.

Because it is. I hope you don't think of Belarus with $300 avg wage as a success story lmao

Belarus basically has the same GDP as Lithuania, which is three times smaller in population

Radiation

no idea. its like the world ends 35km away from Vilnius. They just come for shopping here during weekends

Tbh I don't understand what Belarusian identity is based on. It seems like they mostly identify with the Soviet nationalism, basically 'we won against the Fascists, have collective farms, build tractors'. Does an average Belarusian even now about Kosciuszko or Kalinouski?

are we doing better?

Their capital looks fairily decent:

Imagine if they were in full capitalist mode?

>Does an average Belarusian even now about Kosciuszko or Kalinouski?

Umm they were Poles just like Mickiewicz, Jagiełło and Pilsudski

Your current ruling party got going by standing against excesses of privatisation lmao.
Why would you wish such a terrible thing on anyone? Look at Ukraine if you want to see what unrestrained capitalism does to countries. Pure degradation.

Yes, and? Pis sucks

Also pis won mainly because they were anti-immigrant
