As a Chinese, I always picture heaven as a garden full of beautiful flowers and trees which bear tasty fruits.
In Chinese traditional religion, the highest heaven is Kunlun which is garden on top of a mountain where peach trees grow that grant eternal life and immortality.
Whenever I see heaven in american popular television shows like the simpsons or family guy they always show heaven as clouds in the blue sky.
No idea, people usually talk about the Garden of Eden when they think about something like that.
Leo Anderson
That's because America already has beautiful parks and gardens within 5 min walking distance, at least where I live off the Appalachian. Which you're right, I love that shit, pure heaven to me, but now the bar is set higher for heaven since beautiful scenery is already all around me. China is typically disgusting to look at and I imagine mostly unkept parks/trails and no gardens, that's why this is your ideal vision of heaven
I think heaven was literally supposed to be above the "firmament" which would be above the sky, in other words space

Why do westerners want to live in the sky?
Hudson Nelson
This goes back to the hebrews and mesopotamians
Ryan Sullivan
Im well aware that china has beautiful forested areas, the thing is that most Chinese people don't even live in areas like that. All the ones that migrate here came from a city that looks like a wasteland with no national parks or scenic trails
James Wright
Are you sure the Hebrews and Mesopotamians wanted to live in the sky like the westerners and not in a beautiful garden?
Jason Martin
You’ve never been to a Chinese city. Chinese cities have plenty of parks, green space, trees. Actually, Chinese cities have more green space than other East Asian cities like in South Korea and japan.
Chinese streets are wider than japanese streets and has more space for trees.
Apparently the sumerians didn't think anyone ended up in a place like heaven
>"The Sumerian afterlife was a dark, dreary cavern located deep below the ground, where inhabitants were believed to continue "a shadowy version of life on earth""
Christopher Nguyen
Ok, I’ll have to ask my Sumerian friend if this is true to confirm.
Liam Ramirez
It's obvious they all share origin, there are similarities between ancient sumerian religion and christianity
Jace Johnson
I’ll have to ask my Sumerian friend if they believe in heaven - and if they believe they will live in the sky or a garden.
Anthony Johnson
Show me a map with parks surrounding a city/town in China. I can't seem to find one
Yes that is the garden of eden which we also came up. We share the same concepts thus proof of God most Almighty
Ethan Parker
>trees which bear tasty fruits Immortal souls don't need to eat
Elijah Nelson
The food of heaven is for joy and delight - not for sustenance
Elijah Thomas
Those are lowly terrene needs
Brayden Bailey
Dams are some of the most ecologically destructive sources of energy ever conceived
Lincoln Torres
No, food is happiness. There is nothing *better than eating the fruit of the Tree of Eternity that God blessed.

Food is unappealing unless you're hungry. If you're in heaven and still yearning for something to consume, whether it's for sustenance or just enjoyment it means that something is missing, you're not whole yet
