They should've gone with Nolan-style approach. I will always repeat this. This way we would have childish MCU for cookie cutter kids and more serious (as far as you can call capeshit 'seriosu') DC.
Now we have two sides of same cringe CGI coin. Crap like Aquaman or Shazzam are MCU schlocks with DC logo slapped on. The only really good and interesting DC movie is Joker and only because this character works. Even Batman in the end is just a faggot in suit so can't really do proper live action without going cringe cosplay.

Green Lantern (2011)
> Happens with the same primary cast but it's basically a adaptation of First Flight. Toss Parallax & Hector entirely. Minimal time on earth, focus is almost entirely on Hal & Sinestro building uneasy trust until Sin reveals his true nature ala Training Day. Keep the fucking CGI suit (never got the hate for it) but darken the colors a bit.
Man of Steel (2013)
> Happens basically as we got it but with these changes...

> Several happy scenes with the Kent family.
> Tornado scene but have Clark try & rescue Pa but he has a heart attack anyway or he has to choose between saving Pa vs other people in danger and Pa points for him to save them.

> No kiss amid the destruction.

> Optional: Clark does not kill Zod and instead repeatedly tries to drag Zod back to the fading Phantom Zone portal the whole fight (hence why he can't take Zod out of the city) and is eventually able to do so.
> Long montage of Clark saving people from the rubble after the fight is over before getting to the drone scene.
> Remove Lois & Jenny being cuntish to Lombard. They don't owe him a date but he deserves a lot more respect after nearly dying while trying to save Jenny.

> Smaller scale with Clark & Lois investigating corporations for human experimentation, villains are Metallo and Parasite (both born from people hurt during the battles of mos1), Lex is secretly behind the corporations but the film ends with Clark still not being able to prove it.

Martian Manhunter (2017)
> Set in the 1950s onward.
> Dark noir sci-fi mystery with him being a detective then a spy trying to snuff out both White Martians and commies infiltrating the government. Cold War UFO paranoia is a big thing.

Although DC is a different animal than Marvel. Marvel's biggest secret to success is that most of their movies are barely superhero movies. That's why people don't get tired of it. They keep switching up the genres. Comedy, sci fi, action, martial arts, spy thriller, etc.
DC characters are much more superhero-y and generic. You can't get away from it.
