It's capeshit for boomers, the Irish guy literally says so in an interview.

JANE YOU IGNORANT SLUT

If capeshit was historical and dashing setpieces with good wardrobe I would watch it

Its way better than Capeshit thats for sure

Sean Bean wears uniforms that are too tight, too dirty and probably are not even real uniforms at all. Not to mention his Kurt Cobain haircut in the fucking 18th century. Admit it, this shit was made for horny housewives

>Sharpe has to lead either the defence or attack of a fixed position.
>There's a disagreement with a posh officer as well.

And repeat.

It's adventure kino. You just have to ignore the fact the anglos were the villains in real life.

>tfw you have a cousin in horse guards and friends at court

He also has a 10/10 babe (often aristocrat) lusting for him, except when his feisty Spanish lover is around.

don't mess with a winning formula

It's comfy, but it's also often retarded on the level of "20 good men".

>sharpe is just washing in some stream next to the british camp
>he sees some guy running from a couple of french soldiers
>he saves him
>omg it's lord wellington congratulations sharpe you're a general now

Go to bed nappy, you lost. Twice lol

In the books Sharpe gets promoted for saving Wellesley's life during a battle in India but they felt the need to include that in the series, so they shoehorned that scene in. I like the series for being comfy but the books are way better.

Over the hills and far away.

>Boney-posting this hard

Enjoy Elba, you pin-dicked midget.

20 good men with rifles when everybody else has muskets

MAJOR LENNOX ANSWERED WITH HIS LIFE SIR!

Yeah they're pretty good. There's a documentary Sean made (after the series) about Waterloo & the kit & tactics of that era that is quite good.
At one point he's amazed how fine & light the real rifles are compared to the props then shits himself when the real thing nearly breaks his shoulder & blows his eardrums out.
I may be wrong but I think the ginger author insert character appears at re-enactments & does talks with his little tent of trinkets as well.

His hairstyle is ok for the era being depicted. It's the turn of the 18th century to the early 19th, not the 1740s.

its a good show
