too white

were dem brown people

The magic of rotoscoping, the warm color palet also hides the lack of shadows.

I find this movie incredibly boring, but it's the most beautiful 2d animation ever made

Its pretty neat a few times I thought it was a real person

Also life would be so awesome if women acted like this

I think.of it as Shakespeare play and that gives it a better perspective

you joke, but if they remade this movie today, the prince would 100% be some big-lipped negro, shucking and jiving all over the screen.

Mental illness.

>but if they remade this movie today
They kinda did, but they told the story from the villain's perspective.

That is basic AF. Disney had budget cuts in the 50s

You want great animation watch snow white the forest scene or the scene in the queens lab. Or even the water effects from fantasia.

Both those shock me they could happen in early 1940

Hands down best Prince.
Sings, dances, kills dragons. Perfect fucking knight & role model for young boys. Nothing like todays Disney where they fear competent men. (Kristoff gets a pass, that dude is never "put in his place" has a job, & even talked since intI the female lead)

I've only watched them in color

Its all down to production time.
Disney films were made with far larger time budgets than basically any anime project outside some exceptions.
Sleeping Beauty took several years to put out, from 53-late 58.
Compare that to Akira, which started production between 86/87 and debuted in 88. Far shorter production timelines on anime films.

That movie was mediocre and forgettable as hell

Greatest animated film of all time. This was Walt Disney's greatest moment
