I unironically enjoyed Salvation a lot, but it's more of a look into the future (and I guess a prequel) so T2.

T3 brought everything full circle for me. It had some amazing action sequences that are on par with the first two films and some humor that really stood out. T3 provided us a somber ending that tied the series up nicely following T2's narrative. Salvation was a good show but didn't hold up as well. For me it's T3.

I can understand not liking T2 and aliens but at least they both wrapped up the original plot on a positive note. Every subsequent sequel and prequel just retcons and shits all over them.
