That second movie from last week was terrible
Am I crazy, or has this season been kind of boring? The movie choices are hit and miss. I usually stay up and watch both films every Friday night, but for some reason I haven't been able to sit through the second movie of each week this season.
The first movies have been mostly good, but the second movies are where they lose me. Sometimes like with a classic such as Tenebrae, it isn't even that the movies are bad, I've seen 90% of the movies they show anyways, its the writing and trivia and tidbit stuff that seems lackluster for them that makes me get bored. Then when they do newer movies like last weeks Hellbender, it is obvious Shudder forced it to be part of the series and was trying to promote their original films. I'd rather watch two more shot on video flicks than something like Hellbender again, that was terrible.
I have watched everything Joe Bob related since the 90s, and this is possibly the worst season of anything he's ever done...
Is it the writing for the segments? Is it the movies themselves - are they running out of decent movies to watch from the platform? I can't put my finger on it, but the quality is off this year.

The Monster Club (1981) and Hellbender (2021).
First film was great. Had shammock incel-kino, a monster genetics chart fit for Any Forums, the great Vincent Price, and monsters rule, okay.
Second movie had... Well we had tendies I guess.
Yeah not sure why they went with hellbender other than it's on shudder.
I think it is the movies. New releases are out every tuesday and friday, and they have simply dried up. There used to be dozens every week, now it is mostly older movies being re-released on bluray or streaming. I think the pickings are slim.
I liked Slaughterhouse, that was a legit drive-in movie unlike that gay ass witch movie.

Over the past couple of months shudder got the rights back to a bunch of Joe Bob movies that had been taken down. I think most of his movie budget this year went to that so now he has to do public domain and shudder exclusive movies
