Are baseballs useful for self defense in your country? Over the past 2 weeks gypsies have tried repeatedly to enter my house while I was in it, I'm thinking of getting some deterrence

they are meh ok but they dont inflict enough damage nor look scary enough. you hit them they get a bruise and hit back.
during my wu-tang years i drunkenly bought a fake katana. cringy af but you hit someone with that they cant hit back because the muscles needed to do so are cut in two and they are bleeding to death.
plus the fact a raging me with a sword looks scary enough in itself...

buddy of mine bough a foreclosed house from a troubled family, the sons of the previous owner keept breaking into the house while he was fixing it up.

i've seen aluminum bats with large dents in them, but you probably have to hit something metal to do that. They have less mass than wood but as a result can be swung at a faster speed.
I don't know which is better in a self-defense situation, I think the main concern is not getting it taken from you. So maybe swinging fast has some advantages there

did so. chased down a car thief with a garden rake once, that was easy it wasnt even my car, it was outside and it was a reasonable tool to use. cops just said it was cool that i did so.
now enter inside my residence and its a completely different game, im not looking to hurt you or scare you i will fucking kill you and the cool part is i can do so with a gun if i owned one and walk free despite all memes saying otherwise.
