>AND STILL FUCKING YOUR MOTHER!
I know Octavian is supposed to be the good guy of the series but I can't help but love Mark Antony more

He looks so good in a beard, and when he went native in Egypt too

Makes you think, doesnt it?

Octavian and his Hobbit squad brought the total impression about the series about two pegs down. I've recently rewatched it and many of its qualities are still evident, but its lax approach to Roman history turns it at some pivotal points into more of a parody than it manages to depict the whimsies of fate. The most egregious example being (in the near-perfection that is Rome Season One) the Titus Pullo's influence on the bringing down of the Republic, and it completely misses its mark on how Roman politics is supposed to work. It's ludicrous to think that so much would weigh on proper procedure.

It does.

What are you referring to? His trial by arena? Or his hiding the gold?

The entire farcical event of Pullo being attacked for his gambling house brawl and this bringing down the Republic - literally.

Do you think the writers purposefully made Cicero's hair look like Bobby from Bobby's world? I do.

Titus
>murders a ton of random people
>murders people for money
>murders his slave wife's boyfriend
Vorenus
>buys and (tries to) sell slaves
>causes his wife to commit suicide
>murders an innocent gladiator while expressly disobeying orders to save the aforementioned murderer
>curses his children into slavery
>disrespects the lady
>disallows a gang from seeking revenge on some guy had a 12 year old suck his dick for mere pennies
How are they supposed to be the good guys again?

If you liked Rome, play Age of Decadence.

Not interested in discussing antique moral outlook on a predominantly American board. If anything the series eschews such nonsense. Being a slave of Rome was, in many cases, a much better fate than being a freedman in some decrepit shithole.

>there is a spot right above her vulva, if you please her there, she will open up like a flower.
HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS OF HER?

Also S2 Octavian was great

Shut the fuck up about Pompey Magnus. As if in your life you will ever amount to the achievements and influence of that man.

Sorry, did I miss the prequel? As far as HBO rome is concerned, Pompey magnus aka Pompey maldnus was a fat, gay, traitorous loser.
Hail Caesar.

If true what a waste

S2 Octavian was a ruthless edgelord

marc antony's actor basically said it

>Ups to the guy who's prime in life, career, and military campaigns began right when the guy he beats is ending his.
Brilliant.

Caesar.
Did.
Nothing.
Wrong.

Octavian took what could've been a good thing and turned it into tyranny.

>Rome ends 2007
>GoT begins 2011

Really?

GoT took a long time to get through production iirc

I'm not saying it's impossible, just seems like a hell of a gap.
