It's not a hot dog bun. It's a very soft bread, closer to brioche. I had these often in Japan. Very tasty despite the yakisoba noodles being cold.

If it was priced okay and given time for people to warm to it, sure. But it's pretty different from typical Western fast food so it would take a while.
