The thing that breaks clay pots is sudden changes in temperature, as long as it wasnt cold to begin with I dont think a burner would break it any more than an oven does.

I would assume that a direct flame would heat the bottom of the pot too quickly whilst the walls of the pot are relatively cool

boil until well cooked, then you have to mash it(we have special stick for it) at last, cook one onion until browned and add it into pot with salt and parsley. you can add garlic too with onions if you want
no i even use these pots on real fire outside. they will survive everything unless you drop them
