Why do Finns love saunas so much?
How do saunas even work, is it just warm humid air? I don't get it

we live in cold wasteland, having sauna is all we got and frozen lakes. People use to build sauna buildings first then lived there until mainbuilding was done, its just makes perfect sense in our climate. Every house literally has sauna and most apartment buildings too inside apartment or common one. Imagine life without sauna, impossible
It's relaxing and comfy
If I visit Finland, would it be worth it to go in a public sauna in Helsinki, or is that cringe and inauthentic? It'd be in the winter.
Yes I know Finland "isn't worth visiting" and "winter is cold", but it'd be close to Estonia, where I am visiting
Youre so fucking mentally ill
Helsinki is just like any other city, if you wanna authentic finland experience rent cottage from lakeland, jumping to lake straight out of sauna is how you do it, then you understand what finland is about. Helsinki has saunas for tourists but you dont get that feeling of quiet nature and emptiness around you.
Do whatever makes you happy
Sorry finnbros, it's called a bastu, not a sauna. Get it right!
Sauna is just a pretentious bathroom and has no medicine for soul, unless u do vid related 15:25 every time u go there
Yes it's worth it
Are you stupid?
It's like asking - Why Russians love banya?
Are Americans really this stupid
Pretty good drawing considering it was made in 37 seconds
Good post. This way was my favourite when I was little. Powder snow is the best
It's not suppose to be humid
What did he mean by this?
What
Yes
I'm moving to Finland but I dislike saunas. Will this be a problem?
Move to Turku(aka Åbo) they don't sauna
Why did you choose the worst finnish beer? Every other finnish beer i've bought from the ferry has tasted better.
I have a sauna in my apartment
sandels is best finnish "cheap bulk" lager, but maybe you bought 5% since it was from ferry, lower 4% one is actually much better.
