Do non-English people care about "mis"gendering objects in their foreign language? I am learning Russian, and I really couldn't give a single shit about which objects are masculine and feminine; I intend refer to them all using the netural pronoun.

natives rarely, if at all, misgender objects
i don't mind foreigners doing it, at least they're trying to speak spanish and it's endearing in its own way

you will just sound stupid but no one will be mad except if you are speaking about a person

if we misgender something the sentence sounds retarded. i think this is common on most languages with genders

>you will just sound stupid
They sound stupid to me when they refer to a pencil as a woman, so fair enough.

Sounds weird but funny coming from foreigners. No one really minds.
A native speaker getting anything wrong except for a super-obscure word would sound mentally unstable, though.

you'll just sound retarded

Not a problem. ))

what language fo you speak? if hindi it will be like the Arab speaking hindi stereotype they have in movies

There are no gendered pronouns in Bengali. I speak Hindi, but I ignore the gendered verbs, and no one has cared so far.

>no one has cared so far
you sound extremely retarded. no one will tell you because its hilarious

People who misgender things are mostly perceived as retarded, because there's a lot of retards from central asia, who do just that.

But you will eventually remember it. Just don't hold on to your retarded intention.

you'll sound silly or even mentally impaired if you don't correct yourself

i keep hearing teens misgendering things.
it used to be common for children and foreigners only

what the fuck

After a while, if you're not a complete retard, you'll notice a pattern in the gendering and won't get it wrong anymore

>won't get it wrong
I am not getting it wrong, they're getting it wrong. Even if I figure out some pattern, I'll never ever use a gendered pronoun on an object.

>You think for yourself instead of sticking to a nonsensical convention? You must be retarded

It really makes sense now why Bengalis are ahead of rest of the Indians.

Russian at least has some kind of (mostly) logical system for gendering nouns. German is a complete mess when it comes to gendering. English and Estonian languages are based, because gendered nouns are retarded and shouldn't exist in the first place.

people misgendering objects or people sounds comically german for me, I guess from media exposure
