Because no one understands Swedish

They don't and that answers your question.

You don't have to understand the lyrics to enjoy the music. Rammstein used to top the charts for metal in the USA and they made most of their songs in German. You guys are just cucks who are ashamed of your own language.

Except we don't. Pretty much all metal and rock I listen to is in Swedish.

And hundreds more. The reason you don't see it, is because Swedish music almost never end up over seas.

Oops, posted English version of the second song.
Here's Swedish.

Are there any movements against Anglification of Swedish culture? My online Swedish friend says that in Stockholm you barely even hear Swedish being spoken and it's mostly English.

See You don't know about them because their music is in Swedish. This is why the ones you do know have their lyrics in English; to appeal to an international audience, i.e. to you. And thus they're the only ones you know. We have artists that fill stadiums and you've never heard of them.

Rammstein make their music in overly accentuated German because that's part of the image they are trying to project.
The financially viable choice is producing music in English though since that is a lot more internationally viable than niche stuff like Rammstein

>My online Swedish friend says that in Stockholm you barely even hear Swedish being spoken and it's mostly English.
And he's lying his ass off.
I work in Stockholm and the only people I hear speak English is foreign students and tourists. And that happens maybe twice a month.

>Are there any movements against Anglification of Swedish culture?
What anglification? Everyone knows English. Boomers love to drive old American cars?
Nothing new.
The meme that all Swedes speak English on a daily basis is a complete lie.
In my 32 years of living here I've spoken English out loud twice. And both times it was to answer some tourists questions.

And OP's original question, Sweden have hundreds of bands that sings in Swedish only. Like another user said, they sell out arenas and are incredibly famous here.

because they want poople to listen to it

Because in Europe it’s considered racist to speak your native language, except for French which is a black language. Also English is ok but only zoomer Ebonics English.

>no Uggla
made me sad since pretty much the entire Swedish population knows his songs and the lyrics by heart

I don't like most of his music, but he knows how to please a crowd.

based American telling them about their countries

>Ullevi 2014
Shit, I was there. My mom is a huge fan so I got her tickets and went with her. It was pretty based even if I prefer metal.

Hellström is always a crowd king. His concerts are always chill.

Bro it’s ok, just accept the fact that there will be no Swedes outside of Minnesota in 50 years.

Can't have this thread without our BOYS!
