Engineering and STEM is well seen in most places outside Argentina at least, what is hard to take outside is stuff like medicine, law and a lot of things like that and so on mostly because of the differences in laws and so on. Its not wasted but you do have to validate it and it can take extra years.
Have in mind that even indians can get STEM jobs outside of india.
