I really loved this movie. I never thought myself as a fan of action films but damn, this made me feel good. Such a simple plot with drama that can draw you in after the first movie and a realistic intensity you feel when they’re dog fighting. Mix all that in with zero of the modern day message and you’ve got one of my favorite films ever

I bought a single seat between two blocks of sold seats. This could be extremely painful for me.
Yeah there are "IMAX theaters" that are just a standard screen and cranked up normal speakers, and then the purpose built ones with the massive screens in the special aspect ratio and the good speakers arranged the way they're supposed to be. I'm lucky to live near one of the latter. I don't know why IMAX lets them (AMC) get away with it.

The city I live in is a tiny little rich people town named Yorba Linda and they built a brand new state of the art kinoplex less than 5 years ago. It has an absolutely massive iMax theater - I saw Dune, Tenet, etc in it - all great experiences.
Can’t wait to catch Top Gun in it :)
