That’s just not true. But then Alan has always been entertaining in his disastrous yet absolutely human behavior. He’s a stain that I can’t help but enjoy and the experiment of his character in his sprawling narrative as an unrepentant cunt has a secondary repeat viewing/listening factor to it. I know Coogan is either a nonce or a fan of the nonce, but Alan Partridge is a lasting creation that will both hate and love in equal measure until it is finally revealed Coogan was in fact a nonce. Then I’ll probably just see a third angle to the whole thing and still appreciate it.
