It's not spice. It's monsoon sickness. The high humidity and water content in air allows for more airborne bacteria, viruses and God knows what thrive in the air. Also mosquitos will be too much this season. All of this combined will make it dangerous for foreigners, even I used to fall terribly sick when I was young.
