How did this confuse anyone? Dartz arbitrarily set his monsters attack to infinity through an effect, Yugi did it through an actual gameplay loop that put his monsters value to infinity naturally. Obviously finite infinity is less than infinite infinity.

In card games like MTG or Yugioh, when declaring a number like infinity, it’s actually implied that it’s a tangible number (in MTG you have to actually declare a number, so a lot of people use Graham’s Number). That way, if someone comboes off after you, they can legitimately say “I’ll do one more iteration than you did,” basically infinity plus one. It’s not an actual mathematical thing, it’s just sort of a marker to allow people to go over the top of another person going infinite.
