The US actually has people who investigate American pedos in SEA, help the local police build a case, and then charges them when they're deported following their imprisonment in whatever country they're in. I forget what agency they're from, I remember thinking that it didn't seem related. Like the DEA, DHS, or something like that. I saw a documentary about them their work in Cambodia.
