They should just make a film about this guy, or a film where all characters are just supremely confident alpha types like this guy and the original maverick
Why'd they have a woman top gun pilot. Have you ever even seen a woman fly a commercial jet, let alone a fighter jet.
Somebody lay out a good synopsis and I'll write it

Him not being chosen for the final mission was fucking retarded and didn't make sense because he was clearly the best pilot >inb4 "b-but he abandoned his wingman!" That was very early on in the training. After the football scene we don't see him abandoning his wingman so we assume that he's a team player now.
Colton Mitchell
Haha and its Irish. You cant make this stuff up
Nolan Evans
yeah but they couldnt have both him and Rooster both having a big impact. So they had to have it save the day
but i agree, Miles Teller's whole character and plot should have been scrapped
Thomas Rogers
he got the kino asshole character comes back and saves the day spot.
Isaac Russell
>yeah but they couldnt have both him and Rooster both having a big impact. It was poorly written. The whole thing was to get the best of the best on an elite team, but they literally leave out the best because the screenwriter needed him to make the final kill at the end. It was so stupid, and I'm shocked that everyone seems to love this movie. It was good, but that's all it was.

Training lasted two weeks. He chose Rooster to let go of Goose's death. It's almost as if you two didn't watch the movie.
Jackson Rodriguez
Hangman was the "villain" so just completing the mission successfully isn't a big enough redemption. Saving Maverick and Rooster solidifies him as a good guy.
