Nothing unhealthy about rice and beans unless you're diabetic

proper meal

I want a bit more meat in comparison to carbs.

What's the powder stuff?

Its not dinner retard, its lunch. The only unhealthy part is farofa which is pure carbs. bean + rice is one of the healthiest combos for a meal, it offers a lot of protein, iron, vitamins, fiber and minerals. Seethe, cope and dilate.

Is that cauliflower rice on the left?

lunch*
and indeed it iss healthy, show me a more balanced lunch than pic related

>>white rice
>nutritionally empty
Wrong. Rice offers Methionine and Cysteine, two of the only essential amino acids that bean lacks, thus both foods complement each other offerring all essential amino acids, which are essential for protein synthesis. Rice also contains B1, B2 vitamins, iron, calcium and phosphate. You can also have whole rice for great fiber intake. I feel like the energy boost of rice is also subtler and longer lasting than other carbs, but thats my personal impression.

>>red meat
>least healthy type of meat
This is up to debate. Im a veggie, but red meat is the only good B12 source afaik. If you don't eat it, you would likely need suplementation.

carbs le bad

this is the secret to big bvnda btw

farofa, it's made from toasted cassava or corn flour mix
it goes specially well with rice + beans and churrasco.

>carbs are the secret to fat
Wooooooah..........

>>whatever that is on the left
>likely also unhealthy
its farofa, a toasted powder that comes from cassava flour. Not totally healthy, given its high glycemic index, but also not totally nutrient poor, as it has iron, some vitamins and other stuff. Anyway, there's usually not a lot of it in the plate, its meant just to add a few other tastes/textures to the beans+rice combo. Its also gluten free if you care about that, as well as all other food in the plate.
