My native language is Brazilian Portuguese (can't choose that), I can speak fluent English (can't not choose that), I'm between C1 and B2 in Finnish, I can read Chinese really well but I don't speak it as well and I am working my way through Modern Standard Arabic.
What is your opinion on my language choices? Am I based or cringerino?
I do, which is why I created the thread to ask you. Do you have an opinion?
Luis Sanders
Finnish seems like a good unpopular language to learn. Arabic is a nice popular language to learn. I have no interest or desire to learn Chinese languages, so I can't comment on that.
Kayden Murphy
Being from Canada, why are you not interested in Chinese?
Jack Barnes
>C1 and B2 in Finnish why tho I'm thinking of learning Portuguese btw, the EU variant tho
Andrew Russell
>why tho Because I am autistic and couldn't control the obsession.
>the EU variant tho Then I want nothing to do with you.
Jeremiah Garcia
isnt br portuguese just eu portuguese in easy mode in terms of grammar its like a 2 for 1 kinda deal
Angel Gray
its the other way around, their grammar is more demanding but in the end its not much different pronounciation is though
Camden Jackson
Mandarin or Cantonese? Simplified or traditional?
Adam Clark
Mandarin, simplified. I was aiming for utility. Most of the stuff written in chinese will be in simplified. Also who the hell studies cantonese?
Carson Lewis
Who is she?
>please dont be a trap please dont be a trap please dont be a trap please dont
Isaiah Ortiz
Why learn Finnish? Do you intend on going to Finland or something?
Cameron Cox
Of course it's a trap.
So I can flex, but Finnish podcasts are interesting too.
Leo Scott
how are those two things connected?
Aiden Miller
yeah thats what I meant I just assumed that it would be easier to learn eu pr first and then make the step to br rather than the other way around. So really its both
Kevin Miller
Canada is full of chinese people, why else?
Just learn PTBR already. Their pronunciation is fucked.
Based, user. Three of the World's most popular languages plus Finnish. You can talk to almost anyone in the World, including reindeers.
Nathaniel Jenkins
it's just a joke
Luis Wilson
based i started learning french 3 weeks ago, after i get to a comfortable level i want to learn a weird language but not as weird as finnish
Lincoln Scott
You got any more pics of the lad, OP?
Benjamin Long
I’ve always wanted to learn Portuguese. anyways I’m broke so I’m stuck with Duolingo which kind of sucks. I will need to wait 3 more years until I graduate , and then I’ll be able to take some actual classes I guess
I can help you. What are you looking for? Weird how?
You don't need either of those. You should focus on learning how to read Portuguese and then you can learn to speak it. Learning to read a language requires help from no one else.
It is a trap.
Terve terve
Yes, I have never spent a single dime studying languages.
