>movie restaurant scene
>they give credit card to waiter
>waiter leaves with card and comes back
Does this really happen? What if they took a picture of it? What if they tipped themselves 100%?
Movie restaurant scene
> Does this really happen?
Yes, Americans do that, I was baffled by that too when I was there.
Originally I thought maybe they are a high trust society but that doesn’t make sense since they have a lot of… you know.
Do SEAmonkeys really?
Americans worship restaurant workers. If they did end up tipping 100% they'd find a way to justify it. Tell themselves they deserved 300 dollars for 5 minutes of carrying dishes and checking on us which is so vital.
It was the 80s. The elites always have "high trust" zones.
This
don’t come here europoor we know you can’t afford it
But I saw that being done even in normal restaurants.
this still happens in many US restaurants yes
just check your account statement lmao
Look at this stupid amerilard prove me right. He worships restaurant workers and is happy to be a little paypiggy for drug addicts
They bring you a receipt and you can check it against your statement at the end of the month. This, and balancing your bankboom is why you keep your receipts.
>this still happens in many US restaurants
it happens in 99% of restaurants with table service, never seen a card reader brought to the table like in Europe until very recently after le pandemic
I’ve seen poors do this before to other people, I’ve even seen poors just flat out take pictures of the cards while they think they aren’t being watched
All you can do is pretty much just check your bank app on your phone right after you order and keep a copy of the receipt
They would get caught and they will be fired or even arrested.
>99%
you do know fast food restaurants are considered restaurants right lmao
>Does this really happen? What if they took a picture of it? What if they tipped themselves 100%?
They get fired from their extremely well paid and easy position as a waiter in a high class restaurant?
99% of restaurants with table service you brain dead retard
it's so fucking easy to get a fraud refund for credit cards
Why the fuck don't they just use chip and pin?
You dispute the charges as fraud. You aren’t liable, the credit card company is and they are a multi billion dollar company with unlimited resources to investigate and credit fraud is a serious crime
So what?
>this retarded system is fine because um if they do screw you over you can hopefully get the money back easily
It's how cattle think
>Does this really happen?
Yes.
>What if they took a picture of it?
Same thing as the old-fashioned carbon copy method of processing. Mostly nothing.
>What if they tipped themselves 100%?
Even back when it was processed manually with paper all the major charge and credit card companies have free customer service hotlines with dedicated fraud departments. Now-a-days they often include built-in fraud alerts to SMS you about transactions you may wish to dispute.
Adults use charge cards; the jews' slaves use credit cards.
