Not only is this series just nostalgia fagging again but the Demogorgon is a lanklet. Idk if it's the same one since I don't watch the show and only know the difference between their features due to being exposed to a video game called Dead by Daylight.

The demagorgon and the Xenomorph are exactly the same. They use the same narrative tools and commit the same mistakes. On the first season of stranger things the main appeal of the demagorgon was the same one of the Xenomorph on the original alien, namely that the audience knew shit about it and only saw fragments of it, even from the design perspective neither of the creatures have eyes. The monster can only remain so as long as it`s not understood; the more the audience sees and understands the most it becomes just another creature, specially if it`s bested. Now consider season 2, the Duffer brothers do exactly what Cameron did... they went bigger by relying on quantity. The mind flyer even worked as the Xeno queen. I agree that the Xenomorph have lost it`s mystery and the uncanny properties that made it great, specially on the later movies but the same can be said about the demagorgons at this point. If you think about it even the upside down and space are not that different in how both are basically unknown spaces that could potentially home all kinds of eldritch terrors (though i guess the upside down is limited to referencing 80`s horrors. I still love that setting though.)
