I love it, I own the DVD and I've watched it probably 100 times.
But it left no cultural impact. I just wonder why that is. When I ask people about it either they barely remember it or they make a snide comment about being Pocahontas in space even if they saw it.

What is cultural impact anyways? I mean it has its own section in Disney World.

Sure it doesn't have the MOICHENDIZING of Star Wars but that's by design. Give it the time frame of Star Wars when the series is done and you'll see it's reach.

Most common one I've run into is people I know who have seen it pretending they don't remember anything about it except "blue cat people"

it led to 3d films gaining popularity for a while, that's about it.
