How the fuck are they suddenly able to fly into a star(-like body; don't @ me astronomy nerds)? They do no have gas clouds, they have super-heated plsama that we have plenty of evidence of that starfleet ships cannot endure.
Who the god damn fuck would found a colony orbitting a binary system of a Black Hole and a Brown Dwarf? What are the chances any planets in such a system would even be habitable? Notice the complete lack of domes, shielding, or EV suits.

How feasible is it to have an air filter installed that can vaporize the ship in an atomic blast if it gets jostled the wrong way?
Main sensors don't work but nav sensors are magic and do. Also, nav sensors can detect small disturbances at range but not solid masses with em signatures moving in disconcert with the rest of the surrounding mass. How can they use these readings to detrmine "size" (unclear if they mean mass or volume) of ships is unclear.
Pike's "compass into a radar" analogy shows a fundmanetal lack of understanding of the science referenced.

Seems rather unlikely that a species native to higher gravitational enviroments with roughly equivalent technology would design ships less able to withstand pressure despite them being more compact and less spindly.
Pike employing the Holdo technique of keeping your crew in the dark for no reason despite it potentially making it so you are unaware of oversights in your plan or other options available to you. Brilliant tactics.

Black Holes absorb (sub)stellar bodies over millions of years. Why is it happening right now and all at once? Shouldn't that have been obvious before entering the Brown Dwarf and not suddenly be a surprise? Again, who the fuck would settle a longterm colony here? How is said colony still habitable?
How are the Gorn communicating with signal lights if optics are not supposed to be useful? How can the shuttle see the Gorn communicating with light signals if optics are not supposed to be useful? Why not use more robust and secure commuication forms other than light signals if wavelengths in the visible spectrum can be detected? They appear to be using something not much more advanced than Morse Code.

How does La'an know how to perfectly modify their phasers to mimic their light signals? TThey don't take any scans or do any analysis, she just knows how.
If the Gorn can see the light signals how can they not see the shuttle flying right up to them and being the source of the transmissions?

Recent trek seems to be obssessed with slingshot manuevers.
They (the writers or such) don't seem to really understand how optics or the Doppler effect works. While some of what they say is related and true if read in a certain way, some of their plan requires that the very thing they reference to not function (eg, how would the Gorn witness the AP 350 detonate?).

The Gorn left incredibly quickly. No attempt seems to have been made to seek out survivors from either side or confirm no one was left on the planet or in the refugee ship.
