No difference. Brexit means Brexit.

Its true that americans think their 50 states are the equivalent of 50 countries.
In reality there are like 4-5 distinct regions and are as different as regions in other countries

It's true even within states. Someone from Lincoln, Nebraska has next to nothing in common with someone from Grand Island or Kearney.

only real states are texas california new york and south

This both Americans and Europeans are wrong

im american and this isnt true, its all identical

Europeans be like "this country the size of Europe is equivalent to my non-soverign microstate" and then be like "NOOO YOU CAN'T COMPARE USA TO EU SLAVS AND MEDS MAKE ME LOOK BAD"

I always laugh when Americans compare their states to European countries
>It's totally different culture even though the only difference is that some say soda and some say pop
lmao

It is an objective fact that the differences between North Dakota and South Dakota are vastly greater than the differences between Spain and Lithuania.

Actually, the difference in those states is between the parts west of the Missouri River and the parts east of the Missouri River.

Americans aren't even significantly different from the British or the Australians lmao.

Americans have no culture so to them having a different accent means you are 100% different since there's nothing else to measure

And you're the same as anyone in Latin America

Europe hasn't had culture since 1939.

No, not really like they're painting it.
Sure I get more cultural variation from going to Florida than I would for driving up to Toronto, but it's not THAT great of a difference.

This. How many capeshit movies has Europe produced? Zero. Europoor are laughable.

America is based on regions and states influence those regions. But it really matters what county you’re in. There are people in Ohio that are the same as Appalachian Kentucky hillbillies, vastly different than someone from Cleveland

There are people in upstate New York that are the same as rural Canadian farmers, vastly different than someone from NYC

There people in the florida panhandle that are the same as Alabama redneck Hicks, vastly different than someone from Miami

No but we have thousands of "differences" between spanish regions, two "serious" separatist movements plus many more meme ones. It's often easy for a spaniard to recognize that somebody is from another region.
Yet from an outsider's perspective we're all the same. Even from the perspective of latin americans who actually understand us and should be able to grasp the different accents.
And finally yes we are very similar to argentinians and uruguayans (the two countries with negligible non-european heritage) and they integrate very easily here, although it's not something we or them would gladly accept. We would have a similar situation in other latin countries if we had genocided all the natives.

Bro they speak the same language and all buy their shit from walmart where is this supposed big difference coming from?
