I used to get allergies from birch pollen when I was a teenager but it went away completely after I had lived on my own a couple of years. Some studies have shown that allergies are caused by too much cleaning and dead indoor air. Your immune system goes nuts if it doesn't have anything to fight so it starts seeing benign things as threats.

I literally have no allergies.
However I am somewhat lactose intolerant.

Well, if you immune system sees something as foreign it will attack it.
It's not foreign if it's around all the time, the body adjusts. It's not a static thing.

This however does not account for severe auto-immunity. Some people by default for whatever reason, have an over-reactive immune system. It's far more common than we think. Still however, most people are in bitch mode as you say.

Everyone is allergic to chlorine and it boggles my mind that it's not automatically filtered out by the city after purification. The fuck how long do we need to be drinking tapid pool water?

Depends on what they add to you water in the purification process. It's usually chlorine which actually does the purifying, and then flouride which actually does nothing other than sort of harden your teeth. Pretty sure it's a biproduct of processing aluminum.
