That's true, but whereas Germans who are descendants of Germanized Celts and Slavs can't know their specific Celtic/Slavic ancestry, mutts like me can know are complete ethnic backgrounds.

That's just myheritage being too firstie focused and having broad categories for America. It could be anything from mesoamerican to selk'nam from tierra del fuego or mapuche, it's all the same for them.
Personally I don't know more than that either, I believe it was my dad's grandma who was some kind of indio.
