... This is very unlikely but in my 2minutes of searching I can't find much on which regions anglo americans came from in England

uhh idk actually. maybe at the time most english americans arrived. but i think itd be hard to find good information on to be honest for a couple of reasons since theres some distinctions to make. regardless its 'a' big port and what OP is probably talking about is a lot of americans having arrived from liverpool, not that they were necessarily liverpudlians
