The entire show is a portrayal of how a seemingly innocuous or even good person can be put in morally greyer and greyer situations to a point where their soul is unrecognizable. Neither of these characters are evil nor are they villains, but they are bad people. So, what's the takeaway here? "Bad people don't exist"?

I don't think Lalo killed Howard. I think he killed Howard's twin brother: Drawoh. Now the real Howard will be out for revenge. The show will end with Howard having a boxing match with Lalo atop a volcano.

The show will end with Jimmy using the chaos emeralds to revive Howard and then they kiss before fighting Lalo in his mech. It's very predictable; all the signs are there.
