It's terrible writing, especially after the writers admitted on one of the Better Call Saul Insider podcasts that they often struggle to write themselves out of the situations they created the episode before. Meaning they didn't have much of this mapped out, they just knew they had to get rid of Nacho and Kim somehow.
The Howard Plan was a terrible arc and depended on way too much luck and convenience for Jimmy. It didn't make sense that Jimmy/Kim hated Howard this much, it didn't make sense for Lalo to kill Howard, none of it makes any sense.

it was fine i guess but everything was telegraphed. if anything about the sandpiper meeting (the bulk of the episode) surprised you, then you're retarded and didn't pay attention to the rest of the season. the stuff with lalo was good, him using the wire tap against gus was good, but i know whatever reason he has for showing up to jimmy's house instead of just waiting for nightfall to attack the laundromat will 100% be something retarded.
lalo killing howard is retarded too, it's basically just a coincidence. if howard had killed himself (or had a bad reaction to the drugs or something) then it really might've made kim or jimmy have some sort of epiphany, but having lalo kill him just steps on that so that we can have a "wow, lalo is such a bad ass" (which wasn't needed at all, lalo already earned that in the season 5 finale).
so while not a bad episode, stuff definitely happened, i'm not about to give up an unironic "bravo vince" for that episode. it was mostly very predictable (even the last minute broken arm thing was pointless ultimately), with the exception of the lalo killing howard thing which was basically a retarded coincidence
