じゃない is a contracted form of ではない
They are pretty much the same.
Maybe じゃない is a *little* less formal, because it's shorter, but not by much.
Usually the shorter forms are less formal and longer forms are more formal.
It is significantly less formal. ではない is literally book/vn tier.
Well maybe not that drastic, but it's something you'd expect to hear on the news or in an official speech anyway.
