Are there any fun/interactive ways to learn the grammar?
Been using Tae Kim and it's helpful but boring. I like interactivity.

I have a question for anyone who can answer. A definition for「請う」is the following:
相手の持つ物を自分に与えるよう求める。相手に願い求める
What is the difference between saying「与えるよう」and「与えよう」? Do they even have different meanings? Is this a more formal, written style for the volitional or is it something else? Can this be done with any verb? Send me a link to something explaining as well if possible. Thank you in advance to anyone who can explain.

So it is different than the volitional form of the verb. So let me know if anyone thinks I am wrong about this, but I guess I should search more for grammar before I shit up threads,
How much should I be studying different ways a particular radical/kanji can be read early on? I feel like I keep forgetting, so it's hard for me to work out how to say a word, but I'm not sure how useful it is to just know the vocab.

On an unrelated note, what is the difference between こんばん and こんや? The translation seems to be identical and the examples sentences for both also don't seem to show different usage. When would you use which?
Thanks. I think I’d remembered reading that advice, but (and maybe since my vocab is still quite limited), I’d been seeing enough repeats to make me wonder if I was going about it wrong by not studying them harder. Appreciate the answer.
