Deaths in the series are never terribly graphic. They're just people getting chomped in bite, taken off into the shadows where something gruesome happens, but it always over quickly or obscured somehow.
An R rated dinosaur movie would be more brutal with raptors slashing at people and things like a T-Rex chomping a person in half while their body parts get scattered all over.
Just look at the deaths in the original where Nedry gets blinded and his belly gets slashed open and he recognizes his intestines falling out. A rated R movie would've shown that in great detail.

If you like the look of Jenny just be careful, one of the first things you'll find if you start looking into her (even though, hilariously, her dedicated, years long investigators from 8...ch , never noticed) is that her dad's brother was a child rapist. He killed himself immediately on being caught doing it once to a family friend's kid, so there's been no big trial or anything for it to come out that he did stuff to Jenny, but if you look at Jenny's fucked up sexuality (totally closed off to physical contact but into all sorts of online heavy paraphilia shit) and her brother's (gay, then tranny, face surgery to try to look like Jenny) it's pretty heavily suggestive that he did it to one of them

I just think someone might think twice about taking on the hobby of closely following and critiquing a "cute spergy girl online" if it came to their knowledge it was actually a "raped girl online". Sure, it was her intentional decision to become internet famous with weird unsocialized men.
