Our "official" communist party is a husk of its former self and they're mostly just harmless liberals slightly to the left of the Democrats. Even the DSA is to the left of the CPUSA.

They are considered far left by the others leftist parties (Workers Party, Comunist Party of Brazil and Brazilian Communist Party) and even got kicked out in manifestations by the others leftists.
Ironically they are the party that most defend freedom of speech and doesn't call Bolsonaro a fascist.
