My dad never eats fruit. He gets those boxes of GMO table grapes and munches on those sometimes in the summer but that's it.

The only thing that will make you fat is eating more calories than your body burns. Most studies show that eating whole fruit help you lose weight because it's not very calorie dense and fills you up easily.
