Will Rings Of Power have any scene as kino as LOTR?

It doesn't look like Jackson's Lord of the Rings and anybody who has been paying attention knows that the production is controlled by people with political beliefs that are diametrically opposed to everything that Tolkien's work is.

the word "Power" is extremely problematic.

are they seriously still doing the "and that's a good thing" shit?

true

evil cannot create

>& That's Good Thing

a 100% accurate every time cue to not read further.

>Look guys we are trying to make it "look" like the films you like. Member berries? Never mind that we don't actually have the rights to tell the story of the Silmarillions. Member hobbits? Never mind the horrid vanity fair pics. Member Galadriel? She's a badass now. Don't you like inclusive Middle Earth?

>production is controlled by people with political beliefs that are diametrically opposed to everything that Tolkien's work is.
So exactly like the Jackson movies then?

Why do they keep doing this?

>we don't actually have the rights to tell the story of the Silmarillions
>Silmarillions
Why would they need the rights to The War of the Jewels mr Silmarillion[s] fan?

>evil cannot create
Neither can you apparently

One person who saw the 20minute footage complained that it looked too much like the Jackson movies kek

The entire history of the second age is in the last couple chapters of The Silmarillion. Which they don't have the rights to. So they are going to try and compress an entire age worth of history into 1 generation of characters. This show will come off as horrible fan fiction.

Because then they wouldn't need to fabricate a bunch of retarded nonsense

>The entire history of the second age is in the last couple chapters of The Silmarillion
And this is repeated in the appendices of ROTK, which they have the rights to
You do know this, don't you? oh totally genuine Silmarillion[s] fan

And its still reduced to 20 pages there you dingbat. They can't show anything from the silmarillion. Which is weird, cause I'm told finrod is cast and there are shots of valinor, and galadriel crossing the helcaraxe, so... fuck if I know how licensing works.

>Because then they wouldn't need to fabricate a bunch of retarded nonsense
But this is categorically false
The Silmarillion is 1st age stories, ie The War of the Jewels. The show isn't covering the War of the Jewels
The small amount of 2nd age stuff in that book is a bit about the downfall of Numenor and creation of the rings of power, which is largely repeated in the appendices of LOTR
Any basic bitch Tolkien reader knows this, you are obviously not one of them
