Can this kino be adapted?
Can this kino be adapted?
Why? The plot is paper thin and most of the game is riding around in a horse in silence.
Sounds like a A24 joint
You can adapt anything. Just look at Paramount PLUS's HALO.
nope, and neither can Ico. They can only work as videogames
It wouldn't necessarily be a bad movie, but due to the minimalist nature of the game there would be a shit ton of additions and alterations that would need to be handled carefully.
Is the Last Guardian worth playing
No more videogame adaptations. They will be ruined by pretentious faggots that think that respectively adapting the story would be kneeling to videogames as an art-form, so they re-write the entire thing and keep like 5 elements that were actually in the game. m
no play Typing of The Dead instead
yeah, ico never blew my mind, personally i think last guardian is about as good
maybe as an anime, but the plot would need to be expanded on
It's a very good game. Admittedly it can feel monotonous, but I guess that's the point of Team ICO games.
Or wait, gendesign games. Or whatever.
SotC >TLG > Ico
All three are great.
How would you even structure it? A film adaptation would have to cut the 16 colossi down to 4 at most.
There actually was an awful Shadow of the Colossus script that leaked online a few years ago, or at least parts of it. Josh Trank was supposed to direct it at one point but it's safe to say it's forever trapped in development hell now.
Fuck off Any Forumsaggot
None of Team Ico's games are actually worth playing. They're all style over substance in the truest sense of the saying. Every resource they have is pumped into making the games look pretty while the gameplay suffers so badly that it renders them completely unenjoyable to play. Shadow of the Colossus would make a far better movie than a video game because at least then they could stop pretending that it's anything more than visual (or audiovisual) art. You could make it into an atmospheric movie with minimal dialogue like All is Lost. Instead of a lone man fighting against nature it's a lone boy climbing and killing giant monsters.
>have gigantic enemies in the game
>its one of the most boring games ever
What did they mean by this?
Filtered.
Most people disagree with you, me included. I had a lot of fun with these games.
But I do agree that All Is Lost is an excellent example of how a SOTC movie could be mostly dialogueless but still exciting and engaging.
>he's already writing the script sir
THY NEXT FOE IS...
you just pick 4 and montage the rest like they always do with hercules 12 labors
>Team Ico's games aren't worth playing because they are filled with beauty
Yes but it would done under the concept that it is an art film. Low budget and expectations that won't be a high grossing movie.
