I always hated that late 00s/early 10s era of popular music and it's going to be terrible in 2030 when they start milking that trash for nostalgia. Culture is a sewer

Thank God for that, 2009 was a nightmarishly bad year for me.
The main problem is that her music is so fucking boring and low energy.
I understand it was a tough time for many people because of the recession, but for a high school student like me at the time 2009 to 2011 was pretty great. Technology was advancing at a rapid pace, but smartphones hadn't messed up society yet.

Same, this era was complete garbage. Zoomers just have no culture so they feel nostalgia for it.
It's OK, user.
While the eras are always revisited, hindsight provides a less involved critique of what a decade offers. Disco was never that revered after the fact, only the excesses around it, but the music remains rightly reviled. Have some hope that you'll find new generations revisit late 00s/early 10s popular music only to hate it as you do.
Billie Eilish speedrunning to an overdose at 23.
