the fun romping vibe before Sam comes back was really fun 2bh. For a good few episodes SG1 was allowed to be incompetent and be the source of their own conflict.

the first two seasons of andromeda are great and the nietzscheans are probably the best scifi warrior race in any star trek inspired show. The cliff it drops off afterwards is precipitous, but that doesn't change how good S1 and S2 are.
