For some reason this makes me think of this other movie I saw as a kid. Some guy moves into an apartment and realizes the cockroaches there can talk. And then he tries to live a normal life while sharing his apartment with these sentient cockroaches.
Anyway, that's what this move looks like. It's just, oh it's a normie, but then something wacky happens and now they have to deal with it! Then hijinks ensue!
