Jackson didn't actually want the ghost army in the movie at all but felt obligated to do so because of the books.

Nothing wrong in it. Just like Elrond who didn't try to take the Ring from Isildur I understand why it's ok that Aragorn let the ghosts go before the battle at the Black Gate.

Yet he got rid of Tom Bombadill

Didn’t read the books. Never understood this ghost army shit. Never mentioned before and then he suddenly fucks off from camp like “oh yeah btw gonna go get the ghost lads in the mountain brb”. Felt like a total asspull.

lotr was always shit, pretty much every character was a fag

It's the fact that they're invulnerable that's the problem
They could have been made Game of Thrones style wights that could at least be killed so you're not thinking about how this army could literally end every problem ever
That said they look cool and if we're honest, these movies are pretty dumb and silly, so just turn your brain off bro

in the books they only help take the shits

>what is she saying?
>whats going on?

It's not a big problem because their most impactful role was helping to defeat the corsairs. The rest is just for the decoration.

>but felt obligated to do so because of the books
And yet, the scene is nothing like in the book.

kek

that's way he made them much more powerfull and decisive than in the books?

How did the orcs successfully battle the ghosts in the book?

Do the ghosts even fight anyone in the books? I thought they just scared off the corsairs

Kino scene. Frodo is terrified of the journey ahead and offers the Ring to Galadriel. The power of the Ring combined with Galadriel's own power as an Elf from the First Age, particularly as one who saw the Two Trees of Valinor before they were sullied, would allow her to usurp Sauron and conquer Middle-earth. By refusing to take the Ring, she resists its allure and is allowed to return to Valinor.

the only bad part is the amateur photoshop-tier cropping

It just feels pointless because Rohan already did everything. Like people said ITT they wanted to include something from the books but at the same time cut out a bunch of the story that made the scene important.

In the books the ghost army dont fight, they cant physically attack anyone. All they do is frighten the reinforcements on ships and make them jump overboard and drown from panicing.
In the movies Jackson gives them the ability to kill people and he also makes them fight on Pelanor Fields where they kill 90% of the Orc army (which none of that happened at all in the books).
Stop speaking from your ass.

Hackson fags will never live this down.

We still get plenty of scenes showing Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli fighting so it's not like we didn't get anything out of it. In a movie it would feel weird to have basically no pay off for the ghosts. So it's the right decision. Mordor lost when they stopped the corsairs. The battle was pretty close and whoever brought their reinforcements first won ghosts or not.

In the books this doesnt happen. The ghosts are a small subplot and don't affect or go near the main battle.

Based. I love this. Cry more purist fag
