Spain gave Latin America everything. Religion, society, language, and culture. So why is there so much antagonism in the relationship?

only turbo college lefties and apparently mexicans are like that

>religion
Cuck religion
>society
All latin American countries ended up basket cases without exception
>language
Existed before the Spanish with much greater linguistic diversity as well. Had a rich literary tradition that the Spanish put to the torch.
>culture
Lmao

deep down we like them, the internet is full of toxic pipo

>you need to decolonize yourself against spain
the spanish """language""" everyone

contra (against) sounds weird in that sentence, it should be "de EspaƱa"

>why is there so much antagonism in the relationship?
most latam countries have a pretty indifferent or nonexistent relationship with spain.

it's been 200 years, Spain is completely IRRELEVANT to the affairs of most of these countries.

Wrong tho, spain maintains huge trade with all latam, not to mention it has many companies here
Not to mention we can acquire citizenship more easy there

Mexico still does a lot of business with Spain

there is not.
you don't see this anywhere, we've learnt to forgive and make buisness instead.

There isn't except for some Mexicans. Most of latam has a good relationship with Spain

Spanish colony reporting in.

only because they want to migrate to Spain. Mexicans can just rely on the US for that

>Spain
>Religion, society, language, and culture.
This is the problem.

fucking based

based thread
fuck pseudo mapuches sopported by UK btw

Nobody dislikes spain here
Maybe because we never had anything of value to loot

Some of the biggest companies operating in latam are Spanish. They own a lot of the hotels (Iberostar for example), Movistar is Spanish, Repsol is Spanish, Iberdrola, Santander is Spanish, Mapfre is also Spanish.

A lot of Spanish investors also get involved with local companies. Sure the US and China are bigger trade partners for most of latam, but Spain is up there.

If one thing is for certain with mapuches is that they hate all sorts of centralized goverments, dunno where you got that boogeyman that the UK is funding them.

yes, it also does a lot of business with many countries in the world.
Spain is relatively irrelevant in the equation. Spain is about as relevant to the mexican economy and society as brazil is.

Nah dude. Most people in latam would prefer the US over Spain. Spain is a lot poorer than the US.

also, people keep bringing up businesses.
as if those are supposed to prove some sort of "relationship" between two countries.

Business is business.
Mexico and most latam countries have more business with China, Japan, or South korea. Yet, I don't think people will claim that these countries are "relevant" as in people in latam care about them.

There is many american busiensses in the world, I still don't think that somehow gains us any points, or somehow makes us have a "relationship' with anyone.

They destroyed our original Religion, society, language, and culture.

In terms of exports and imports yeah, but Spanisb companies invest a lot in latam. Spain is the second largest investor in Mexico after the US.

China is slowly using its soft power to influence our politics bro. A few years ago they lobbied for a porcine factory in my cunt and mega lefties only managed to stall them.

>they hate all sorts of centralized goverments
I wonder why.

not true. but still, I don't see how this is different from the french in africa.
They are just leveraging the language, to try and get positioned to make money.

I don't think they care, or have any sort of connection to mexico or mexicans.

Nah dude. Latam companies rarely do business outside of latam.

The difference between Spain and the US is that American companies operate everywhere. Spanish ones don't. They focus more on latam.

Also, Spain is the second biggest investor in Mexico. They don't trade much because the US is much bigger market that's closer, but Spanish companies do a lot of businesd there. Trading isn't everything.
