Some decent scenes here and there but would have worked better as a mini series instead of a film. Way too messy and packed for its runtime.
It was just another Soprano episode. I don't see the hate outside of the bait and switch of Tony being the main character.
The movie tried to be about too many things at once. Should have just been a 90 min sopranos episode about the old crew doing business leading to a conspiracy sbout Dickies murder by June for some petty bullshit.

It added nothing to the show and it juggled the nigger and dicky plotlines badly. The one thing I liked was the implication that dickie wasn't actually an addict or alcoholic and that it was just another vitriolic rumour spread by livia.

You can't do a Sopranos movie, it just doesn't work. The characters were built through the episodic format, it's the key to the show. You can't just present all of this shit in an hour and a half and expect it to make a lasting impression.
