>How to watch star wars
That's fucking retarded. I can't believe this moron was retarded enough to expect his shitty video about a shitty trilogy to be as successful as the plinket review

>It's not bad, you're not watching it right! You need to watch it like this!

Mentally impaired

> The Special Editions Are the Movies
That’s never been less true, with more ways to see the non special editions than ever before. Eat shit nigger.

I've said it before but I like his content and thought this video was really interesting, but holy shit he needs to get Cuckmann and Plinkett out of his head and just make his videos for people who actually care instead of framing everything as a 'rebuttal' to some shitty eceleb he doesn't like
NOBODY who doesn't like the prequels or the special editions is gonna have their minds changed by appeals to their artistic merit, so why engage with them at all?

To say Worley is exceptionally boring and anti-charismatic as a narrator is an understatement.

To say RLM are retards, because they are retards, is a given, and an understatement.

To say they both are the same cancerous growth on a sloth's cock, is being overly nice.

Answer:
Two retards don't make a smart or entertainment matching George Lucas.

I'd be open to having my mind changed but from what I've watched of this video, Rick just operates in a different conceptual framework to me - the one made of Lucas' lies. Rick directly presents footage of Lucas obviously rationalizing, weaseling and misremembering, and seems to believe that it comes across as self-evident truth

what lies?

>boring and anti-charismatic
Oh, so when Mike does a fake voice it's funny and makes him famous, but the guy whose real voice is the same, you say it sounds boring

well i'm speaking very generally because everything I've ever heard George say in footage across my whole life, contradicts something he says at another time or does, so my understanding of George is someone who comes back to things in his life from time to time with a new narrative, aspects get changed to fit that narrative. So it's not to say George is some especially devious snake. In fact as I have learned and seen for myself as I get older that all memories are corrupted and differ from the events, and from previous recollections, so saying anything "is what happened" is effectively lies

I don't think Rick ever says Lucas is a mastermind that planned this all out. He's just showing George is or was talented and isn't just sound bites from behind the scenes footage for episode 1

The part where he says a 35mm theatre print in 1977 would have only been equivalent to 720p quality is utter bullshit.

Give me the basic rundown and also tell me what to think.

Part one is about.. i dunno, part 2 is .. I dunno. Part 3? I dunno. There's no way to know lol. I have no idea why they are 'parts' at all. Btw I mean parts of this video. This video is Part 2 of... something as well apparently

>Give me the basic rundown
The video is shit.
>also tell me what to think.
George Lucas is a hack, and all of "his" achievements were stuff done by others that he took credit for.

I've only watched the first third but so far he's basically saying that preferring the original run of the OT over the special edition is hypocritical because there were changes between stereo and mono versions and changes between the 35mm and 70mm versions and nobody complains about those changes.

He fails to address the fact that nobody complains about those changes because they don't have obviously shoehorned in CGI from 20 years later that look totally out of place and gives the viewer whiplash.

Not an argument. Cope and seethe. Lucas did nothing wrong.

Watch the Plinkett reviews. They explain why you're wrong for ever liking the prequels.

>manchildren cry about the special editions and want the originals back
>worley points out that there are no 'original' and 'special' editions, and that the movies have had tons of different versions with tons of different changes (ANH having 9 different releases that are all different to each other), and that the manchildren feel entitled to decide which of these versions is the 'real' one

>manchildren imply Lucas just made these changes randomly
>worley points out that most of them had an obvious purpose that Lucas himself has talked about before

>manchildren cry about film preservation
>worley points out that they clearly know nothing at all about film preservation

Special editions are not the award winning films

These videos already debunked the Plinkett videos.

Impossible to do. Just watch the Plinkett reviews so you can realise that George is a hack.

These videos already debunked the Plinkett videos.

Impossible to do. If you watch the Plinkett reviews you'll realise that the points made cannot be debunked.

These videos already debunked the Plinkett videos.

>the Prequels are bad because THEY JUST ARE OK also I raped a hooker and killed her does anyone want a pizza roll?
wow... prequelchads I had no idea we were dealing with this level of intellectual discourse... I don't feel so good

This guy is completely ignoring what the complaints against the special editions actually are, at least in the first hour because I couldn't stand to skim through anything beyond that.

The computer animation clashes so much with the original effects that it's distracting. The added scenes are pointless, especially the beauty shots of Mos Eisley and Cloud City which seem like they're just showing off what they can do. What they were willing to improve is inconsistent, i.e. the new shots of Mos Eisley but not the janky lightsaber effects. And posterity, the original trilogy is historically important in terms of American cinema but the original negative was recut. If MGM created new CGI shots for The Wizard of Oz and cut them into the original negative and only started selling that version it would be a massive convtoversey.

This asshole is implying that not liking the Special Edition is just being butthurt about nostalgia.

>If MGM created new CGI shots for The Wizard of Oz and cut them into the original negative and only started selling that version it would be a massive convtoversey.
Lucas isn't some corporation, he's the original creator and can do what he likes with his own movies
If the original director of The Wizard of Oz made his own director's cut because he didn't like the theatrical would you have thrown a fit too?

Seems like there's a pretty clear point of delineation when they outright get called the Special Editions.
