seriously every american talk show whether it be corden, fallon, kimmel, meyers, colbert all feel like they're just copy/pasted from one another but there isn't a single other show able to replicate the comfiness of graham norton
how does he do it?
It used to be better than it is now, still way better than Johnathon Ross and all those American talkshows though.
Maybe because he doesn't have to worry about appealing to advertisers? He can take the piss a bit more and offer booze as well as bringing some of that sassy fag humour that works when you're just trying to loosen up a little. Plus he's a very likeable guy. It was hilarious listening to him take the piss at Eurovision last night
sorry chuds but Dick is the GOAT

You can tell Corden's tried to take inspiration from it with the whole thing of bringing out multiple guests together and seating them on a big sofa rather than multiple armchairs.
It doesn't work of course, because Corden's not a very good host and the American networks probably don't let the guests get as drunk as Graham's show does.
>how does he do it?
An open bar, on and off stage
Anyway here's Marky Mark

what's his best episode
I suspect an American network has probably tried to pinch him at some point. Gay and Irish are basically the two most worshipped demographics over there, and they're bound to have already heard of him since they plucked Corden from much more obscurity.
I doubt his show would work with their system though, they'd probably be much more strict about the pre-show drinks and seeing Graham with a cringy sidekick or making awkward smalltalk with the 'cool black bandleader' guy like all the American hosts do would just be vile.
IIRC Norton doesn't do stupid gimmicks like karaoke or rap battles or whatever. Well, except for the red chair stories, that's the only one as far as I can remember
Sarah Silverman was not happy about it
Off the top of my head the two that stick out are the Hugh Bonneville/Matt Damon/Bill Murray episode for The Monuments Men and the Hugh Jackman/Michael Fassbender/James McAvoy episode for Days of Future Past.
Damon is clearly pretty drunk in the first one and Jackman ends up reading online sex fanfiction about Fassbender and McAvoy in the latter.
Marky Mark getting drunk and challenging Micheal Fassbinder to a cock off.
I want to fuck her
I can't watch it. He's really annoying.
t. Continental European
Why is that Jewess larping as a goth? I kinda like it and hate her for it
He has a brief monologue thing at the start but it's a hell of a lot shorter than the 15 minute Drumpf rants that they do across the pond. And then yeah just the Red Chair at the end, but that's actually a good gimmick and they tend to make the most of it with the guests (I remember they got a childhood friend of Ed Sheeran's on when he was on it and Ed couldn't remember him, kek).
Lack of ads helps the conversation flow too, since it's basically just 45 continuous minutes of talking.
except when he makes snarky, underhanded left-wing non-sequiturs to serious guests.
>Lack of ads helps the conversation flow too, since it's basically just 45 continuous minutes of talking.
America could never allow this.
Well, maybe Netflix?
He's paid over £3 million a year so doesn't have much incentive to leave the BBC anyway
He's the only chatshow I watch, though obviously it can depend on who the guests are.
shes got such a wide on im surprised the sofa hasnt disappeared
Henry is always getting molested on chatshows.
I do miss the raunchier stuff that was on his Channel 4 talk show back in the day. Also it had really oddball early 00s stuff like looking at obscure websites which would never happen today - but with the Internet still being so new it was a novelty.
Not a huge fan of the opening monologue bit, feels kind of dated and the jokes are hit and miss, but that's mainly down to the writers. Graham is a fantastic host and getting all the guests together is why it works so well, I don't know why the American talk shows don't do that. Don't really feel the absence of a house band either.
The early So Graham Norton years were the best, before he was A-list they were really trashy.
I need to impregnate her
Netflix are heading straight for ads with the current trajectory.
Tom Cruise is usually good. Man of Steel cast. Hugh Jackman with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen too.
No it's still garbage because actors are stupid as fuck. At least with American shows they're scripted to the point that you don't cringe at celebrities. His show made me hate actors and their stupid twee antics.
She's already pregnant in that webm I believe.
